Burton Feather Snowboard
Description
Whether you’re a rookie or rock star, the Burton Feather Snowboard makes it very easy to master the entire mountain side regardless of your abilities. The Feather is laid-back and relaxed from the top of its tip to the bottom of its tail. The Burton Feather Snowboard combines the rocker float of Burton’s EZ V technology with Cruise Control to lift the edges and soften the flex for a board that beelines without biting back. The Feather’s tapered shaping adds float and makes turning on the slopes effortless for riding strong all day long and the twin flex makes it fun no matter which way you point it when you’re hitting the slopes hard.
Feel Rating – 2 (Relaxed = 1 to Responsive = 10)
The Burton Feather Snowboards Feel Rating is a nice 2 on the scale of 1 to 10. For the Burton line of snowboards the Feel Rating helps you compare boards within the Burton line to determine which is best for your style. Youth boards are fine-tuned for younger rippers and get rated on their own scale with 3/3 being more powerful and 1/3 more forgiving.
To help simplify things, Burton assigned this single "feel" rating to each of their boards. The rating is based on a variety of factors including the board’s materials, shape, tip-to-tail flex, and torsion (aka edge-to-edge rigidity). The rating is based on a scale from one to ten with one being softer and more relaxed and ten being most responsive. But keep in mind that a higher number doesn't mean the board is more difficult to ride. It simply helps you compare boards within the Burton line to determine which is best for your riding style. So if you want a more relaxed ride then the Burton Feather Snowboard is the ticket to your snowboarding dreams.
BEND – EZ V
Let’s get right to the good times on the slopes with the Burton Feather Snowboard with EZ V. The Feather is catch-free and very forgiving, and the continuous rocker combines with the effortless edge control of a slightly tapered shape for more float, fun and all-around easiness regardless of terrain or condition on the slopes as well as in the neighborhood park.
FLEX – Twin Flex
The Burton Feather Snowboard’s flex is perfectly symmetrical from its tip right down to its tail for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile regular or switch.
SHAPE – Directional Shape
The Burton Feather Snowboard has the classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
GLASS – Biax Fiberglass
The Burton Feather Snowboard also features a jib-friendly, low-torsional flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel. So if your gig is to take your Feather snowboarding in all types of tricky situations on top of and around stumps, rocks, stairs, ravines, railings, rooftops, etc. just to show off your talent then the Feather is it for you.
CORE – True Flex Fly Core
Okay let’s face it--softening a board and painting it pink doesn’t cut it for Burton Custom Snowboards. That’s why Burton’s True Flex Fly Core sets the new standard in women’s snowboards by optimizing board design to match the geometry and finesse of female riders. The torsional softness of the Feather’s underfoot transitions to stabilizing zones between and outside your feet. The result is improved stability, effortless edge control, and energized pop in the tip and tail.
